Privacy Policy

1. Who I am

This website, engyuyu.com, is run by Eng Yuyu (Yusuf Mohamed), a tech educator and digital media consultant. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Eng Yuyu. You can reach me at contact@engyuyu.com.

This policy explains what information the website collects, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. I keep it short and plain on purpose.

2. What I collect and why

I only collect what I need for each feature:

• Booking a session: your name, email, the session and time you choose, your language, and any note you write. I use it to schedule the session, create your Google Meet link, send your confirmation and reminders, and keep a record of the booking.
• Payment: payment is handled on the payment provider’s own secure page. I never see or store your card or mobile-money number. I receive only a confirmation that you paid, the amount, the payment method type and a payment ID.
• Newsletter: your email address, so I can send tech guides, videos and new blog posts. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Contact and “Invite me to speak” forms: your name, email and message, so I can reply.
• Blog comments and reactions: the name and comment you choose to post. Comments are reviewed before they appear. Reactions use a one-way code made from your connection and browser, only so one person can’t react many times. Your IP address itself is not stored.
• Visits (analytics): which pages are viewed, the referring site, language and device type. I do this without cookies and without storing IP addresses. Visitors are counted using a code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to you.
• Your settings: your language and light/dark choice are saved in your own browser so the site remembers them. I don’t see them.

3. Who I share it with

I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for advertising. I use a small number of services to run the website, and they only receive what they need:

• Google (Calendar, Meet and Gmail) to create your session, the Meet link and to send emails.
• The payment provider to take and confirm your payment.
• My hosting provider to run the website and store its data.
• Social platforms and YouTube. If you click a link or video that goes to YouTube, Facebook, TikTok or Instagram, that platform’s own privacy policy applies.

I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the website and its users from fraud or abuse.

4. How long I keep it

• Bookings and payment records: as long as needed for the session, my accounting and any legal requirements.
• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
• Messages from the forms: as long as needed to answer you and follow up.
• Comments: until you ask me to remove them or I remove them.
• Visit statistics: kept only as totals, not tied to any person.

5. Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to:

• tell you what information I hold about you,
• correct it,
• delete it (except records I must keep for accounting or legal reasons),
• stop sending you emails, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.

6. Keeping it safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure connections and limited access. No website can promise perfect security. I will never ask you for your passwords or verification codes, in a session or in any message, please never share them.

7. Children

This website is not aimed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian before booking or paying.

8. Other countries

The services I use may store or process information in countries other than where you live. By using the website you understand this.

9. Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. If the change is important, I will tell you on the website or by email.
